This is a Contract to hire position

About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong track record of leading Agile Scrum initiatives using Azure DevOps, while also being comfortable managing projects in Waterfall when needed. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience delivering data-driven programspreferably leveraging Databricksand a deep understanding of the healthcare payer landscape. This role requires someone who can thrive in hybrid delivery environments, driving successful outcomes across complex, cross-functional data initiatives.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and deliver technical projects using Agile Scrum , ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
  • Manage Azure DevOps boards for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking deliverables.
  • Oversee Waterfall-based projects by developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Execute data engineering and analytics programs , including those built on Databricks and related technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Uphold healthcare payer compliance and data governance standards , mitigating risks and managing dependencies effectively.
  • Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster communication and collaboration between technical and business teams .
  • Continuously enhance delivery processes, integrating best practices across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field ( Masters preferred ).
  • 12+ years of technical project management experience across Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps .
  • Proven background managing data-centric programs / projects , ideally using Databricks or similar big data platforms.
  • Experience in the healthcare payer domain (claims, eligibility, provider data, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security standards in healthcare.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and analytics frameworks .
  • Exposure to HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements.
