As Wind Farm Technician II , you support the overall operations and maintenance of wind farms and related facilities to ensure safety and maximize availability. Responsibilities include executing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, training, and safety exercises. You will also maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles, provide technical guidance to the O&M team, and track service activities through the digital maintenance management system.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure all operation and maintenance activities are performed safely according to policies and procedures.
- Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment.
- Perform safety tasks and support other site personnel as needed.
- Assist with turbine maintenance, including services, component replacements, and troubleshooting.
- Support Balance of Plant procedures, including substation and collection system maintenance.
- Uphold the company's values and behaviors.
Job Requirements and Experiences
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree in sciences or related field preferred.Minimum 4 years of experience in operations and / or maintenance in power generation, transmission, or distribution.Degree substitution options include college degrees in engineering, physics, power, or similar fields.Relevant licenses or certifications can substitute for experience : Journeyman (2 years), Master Electrician (2 years), WindTech Certificate (1 year).Unrestricted driver license.Willing to relocate within 1 hour of the site.Experience with hand and power tools, safety policies, troubleshooting electromechanical systems.Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic drawings; perform LOTO procedures.Knowledge of relay, hydraulic, electrical motors, power electronics, motor drives, and communication protocols.Strong communication skills, team-oriented, safety-conscious, able to work independently and under deadlines.Physical ability to climb towers, lift tools up to 50 lbs., work in extreme environments, and perform physical tasks regularly.Physical Requirements
