Position Summary :
MrKitt’s Service Center is seeking a Level A / Master Technician who is highly skilled, self-motivated, and experienced in diagnosing and repairing foreign and domestic vehicles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery in all major vehicle systems, take pride in producing quality work, and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This technician is expected to lead by example, mentor junior techs, and perform with a high level of autonomy, accountability, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
Diagnostics & Repair :
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing using OE and aftermarket scan tools (Snap-On, Autel, etc.).
- Accurately identify drivability, electrical, emissions, and engine performance issues.
- Perform complex repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure proper operation.
Maintenance Services :
Complete high-quality preventive maintenance services (oil changes, fluid flushes, tune-ups, etc.).Inspect and replace timing belts, water pumps, serpentine belts, and other maintenance components.Quality Assurance :
Document all findings, parts, and labor in repair orders clearly and completely.Adhere to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and tool care in the workspace.Leadership & Mentorship :
Support and coach B- and C-Level Technicians.Provide guidance on difficult repairs and share technical knowledge.Uphold the shop’s safety policies and ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.Master ASE Certification (or working toward completion within 6 months).Valid PA State Inspection & Emissions License (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).Deep understanding of OBD-II systems, hybrid vehicle systems, and modern diagnostics.Proficient with foreign (European, Asian) and domestic (Ford, GM, Chrysler) makes.Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods.Must have own complete set of professional-grade tools.Preferred Experience :
Factory or dealership training (Toyota, BMW, Ford, etc.).Familiarity with Tekmetric or other modern shop management systems.Experience working with diesel, hybrid, and / or electric vehicles.Welding, fabrication, or performance tuning experience is a plus.What We Offer :
