Overview
This is a limited temporary position funded through August 2026 with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The recipient will serve as a Victim Advocate in the Regional Mental Health / Regional Veteran's Court, a specialized court handling cases where the defendant has mental health issues. The Victim Advocate will provide advocacy and coordinate with Mental Health Court staff, assess and address victim safety concerns, provide direct services to victims at critical stages of prosecution, and act as a liaison between victims and key court and community resources to ensure victims' rights are honored in the criminal justice system.

Work Location and Schedule
Work Location : King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104. Work Schedule : 40-hour week, typically Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Alternative schedules require supervisor approval. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week, subject to business needs and a telecommuting agreement. New hires may be required to work in the office four days per week for the first six months.
Salary
Range 50 -$37.47 (step one) - $47.50 (step ten)
Union Membership
Positions in this classification are represented by Teamsters Local No. 117.
