What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Technology Architect in our Enterprise Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's future technology landscape. Your strong expertise in delivering architecture in financial services will drive transformation, enhance client experience, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, data management, and security standards.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

• Architecture Development - Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for core banking, payments, lending, investment products, and digital platforms. Establish and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and documentation. Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve system performance and scalability.
• Regulatory and Security Compliance - Ensure compliance with regulatory, data management, and security standards in all designs. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance cybersecurity and operational resilience.
• Strategic Leadership - Define and execute architecture aligned with strategic business objectives. Develop long-term technology roadmaps and future-state architecture visions. Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies and their impact.
• Collaboration and Mentorship - Partner with cross-functional teams to align technology requirements with business goals. Mentor design and development teams on architectural best practices. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $140,000 - $165,000 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
