Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant

Our client located in northern Iowa is seeking a highly skilled full-time, Cardiothoracic Surgery PA to join their established team of physicians and PAs. This opportunity consists of a mix of inpatient (surgery) and outpatient (clinic) responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a certified physician assistant with 2 to 5 years of experience assisting in CT surgery and endoscopic vein harvests. This opportunity offers a sign on bonus and relocation assistance!

Highlights of the Cardiothoracic Surgery PA

• Inpatient / Outpatient surgical responsibilities
• First assisting in surgery for Cardiac and Thoracic cases
• Daily rounding on patients in ICU
• Call is 1 : 3 for emergent surgeries only
• Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, assists in surgery, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries.
