Hr Manager
Pridestaff is seeking an experienced HR Manager in the Oceanside, CA area. This is a great direct hire opportunity with a reputable company.
Position Summary : HR Manager to be responsible for the HR of the company while working closely together with the global HR team. The HR Manager will provide leadership and support in the functional areas of HR, including talent assessment and recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, HR compliance, employee development and training, performance management and compensation. The HR Manager applies the principles and practices of human resource management to contribute to the success of the business and serve as an operational business partner to leadership. The HR Manager must have the ability to support short and long-term business goals and partner / participate in global company-wide HR projects.
Position Essential Functions :
- HR and talent management
- Responsible for overall human resources planning and development.
- Plan, organize and control all activities of the human resources department.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination, including the administration of the employee handbook.
- Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or company needs.
- Provide direction to employees in the resolution of problems, benefit inquiries, company policies, etc.
- Manage the hiring process for all employees, including full-time, part-time and temporary employees, and interns. Prepare job descriptions, and source, screen and recommend candidates for employment. Implement and manage background checks where appropriate.
- Conduct new employee orientation.
- Create and facilitate employee communication and involvement activities.
- Manage and administer compensation and performance management systems.
- Help leadership with building a strong company culture and drive employee recognition.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Manage and administer employee training and development programs.
- Plan and participate in talent management review and succession planning.
Administration and compliance :
Interface with Finance / Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits and other deductions.Partner with Finance / Payroll on periodic review of payroll and benefits procedures to recommend and implement changes / improvements leading to best-practice operations.Perform regularly scheduled audits of benefits and payroll system records for compliance with employee agreements, company policies and benefit plan requirements.Ensure the processing workflow of all personnel changes is accurate and timely.Ensure all benefit plans are administered in accordance with plan guidelines and legal requirements.Oversee benefit plan enrollment, and ensure required benefits documents are completed properly, payroll deductions are accurate, employees are enrolled and terminated from plan(s) on a timely basis.Manage completion of benefit plan compliance requirements and filings.Ensure compliance with labor laws and reporting requirements.Support the administration of Worker's Compensation and coordination of workplace safety programs.Position Qualifications : Experience and Skills :
8+ years of HR generalist experience; the majority of which is in a manufacturing setting.Experience at a global companyHR experience in a start-up company or fast-moving environment a plus.Experience in payroll and benefits administration.Ability to operate autonomously and handle ambiguity effectively.Strong influencing skills with the courage to confidently express an independent point of view.Analytical. Detailed-oriented but able to keep the big picture in mind. Can juggle many projects at once and produce reliable, accurate work product.Proactive, organized and results oriented.An excellent listener and communicator with an approachable style and good sense of humor.Collaborative approach to work in a global team.Excellent judgment in people, selection.Ability to be interpersonally engaging at all levels.Solid coaching skills for leadership's personal development and the development of their talent.Language skills : English and Spanish requiredEducational Background and Certifications :
Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.PHR / SPHR certification a plus.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 Per Year
