What does this role look like?
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to provide overall systems engineer support to the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Flight Test Projects, Advanced Reentry Flight Sciences / Flight Test Integration and Telemetry team. Advanced Reentry Projects is responsible for development, build, test, and delivery of advanced instrumented Reentry Bodies (RBs).
Responsibilities within this group will include requirements development and product verification, assisting with the conducting of systems engineering design reviews, document generation, and coordination with multiple disciplines to achieve project milestones including design (mechanical, electrical, RF & Software), flight sciences, Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T), external contractors as well as the Navy customer. The candidate will work in a support role under the direction of a team lead responsible for a flight test project, with the emphasis on flight test integration and telemetry development / coordination and analysis. Occasional travel will be required.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work : Denver, Colorado, and be expected to work in the office.
