Are you a tech enthusiast with a knack for troubleshooting and fixing computer issues? Are you looking for an IT Technician / Management position? Peggnet Computers is seeking a skilled Sr. Bench Technician / Manager to join our team!

Required Skills : Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in Level 1 & 2 Technical Support, capable of diagnosing and resolving basic to intermediate hardware and software issues.
  • Strong hardware repair skills, including the ability to repair and replace components such as hard drives, motherboards, screens, and keyboards.
  • Skilled in software troubleshooting, capable of identifying and fixing software-related problems like operating system issues, virus removal / system rebuilds, and software installation.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Managerial Skills :

  • Experience in inventory management, including tracking all parts and tools and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and appointments efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Manage front desk intake, including ticket creation, handling invoicing, taking payments, billings, and credit card handling.
  • Working with associates / technicians coordinating time off, and scheduling coverage when needed.
  • Manage work load and ensure all tasks are completed by the team.
  • Interpersonal Skills :

  • Be the friendly face of Peggnet Computers to all who walk in!
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both in person and through digital channels.
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience in addressing customer frustrations.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills to tackle unexpected challenges.
  • Job Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshooting computer issues, and providing solutions for residential and business clients, whether in-shop, remotely, or on-site.
  • Ticketing System : Clear and comprehensive notes on all computer issues and solutions.
  • Monitoring : Ticketing system, emails, and incoming phone calls, and responding in a timely manner.
  • Backups : Monitoring all customer backups. (Dashboard)
  • Vendors : Working with hardware / software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve clients issues.
  • Inventory Management : Within the shop and in storage (cables, hard drives, memory, parts, etc.) Ordering items as needed.
  • Invoicing Clients : processing payments for residential and small business customers.
  • Supplies : Maintain a supply of labels, contracts, intake forms for daily use.
  • Delegating tasks for workload balancing with team members. Follow up as needed.
  • Client Satisfaction : Following up with clients within two weeks of resolving issues. Ensure customer satisfaction and encourage clients to leave us great reviews.
  • Digital and Analog Media Conversion : Work with assorted media and equipment to convert to digital formats. (Including VHS tapes, Hi8 tapes, film reels, audio cassettes, etc.)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop.
