Shift : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform the disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and other equipment. Load, operate, monitor, and complete documentation for all decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and monitoring equipment.
• Process flexible endoscopes; leak test and evaluate equipment; inspect instrumentation for cleanliness and proper functioning; assemble surgical instruments and kits using kit assembly information; package, wrap, and prepare loads for sterilization.
• Respond to emergency case requirements of the surgical team and other departments. Assess instruments, components, and supplies for adequate levels and request replacements in a timely manner.
• Stock supplies for surgical cases and code carts; assist in training of new staff and volunteers; function independently in the absence of the Manager or Supervisor; utilize computer systems.
• Maintain knowledge of EPIC and CSIQ / SPM (preferred).

Floating Requirements : May be required to rotate between the main SPD, GI, OSC departments as needed.
