Roving Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
The Roving Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance services across multiple apartment properties within our portfolio. This position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to travel between locations as needed to perform repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and respond to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete work orders across multiple properties in a timely manner
- Perform emergency maintenance and repairs outside of regular business hours on rotation
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on building systems
- Diagnose and repair issues related to :
HVAC systems
Plumbing systemsElectrical systemsAppliancesBasic carpentryInterior / exterior building componentsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationAssist in unit turns and make-ready processesManage inventory of maintenance supplies and toolsCommunicate effectively with property managers, residents, and team membersEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesRequired Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multi-family propertiesValid driver's license and clean driving recordEPA certification for HVAC workExperience with property management softwareStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesBasic computer skills for work order managementAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications
Technical or vocational training in building maintenanceUniversal HVAC certificationExperience with preventive maintenance programsBilingual skills (English / Spanish)Electrical or plumbing certificationsPhysical Requirements
Stand / walk for extended periodsClimb ladders and work at heightsBend, kneel, and reach in confined spacesWork outdoors in various weather conditionsLift and move heavy equipment and suppliesWork Schedule
Full-time position (40 hours per week)On-call rotation for emergency maintenanceMust be available to work evenings and weekends as neededBenefits
