About The Position

Performs routine and specialized imaging procedures, assists radiologists, and ensures proper equipment operation. Prepares patients, processes images / CDs, and follows radiology standards. Applies radiation protection principles and maintains quality assurance. Adheres to hospital customer service standards and performs other assigned duties.

Job Requirements

The CAT Scan Technologist must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program with NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit. ARRT (RT, R, and / or CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required, with CT certification within one year of hire. Must complete 24 ECE credits every two years. DOH IV certification preferred within six months. BLS certification (AHA) required within 90 days. Radiation dose pledges (Image Gently / Wisely) must be completed during orientation
