Position Overview : Specialty : Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Location : Near Williamsport, PA Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Coverage Type : Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Practice Setting : Inpatient & Outpatient EMR System : Epic Job ID : j-244301 Responsibilities : Clinical Coverage : Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Call Coverage : Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert consultation and treatment for gastroenterology cases. Patient Care : Manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases. Round on unassigned patients as needed. Qualifications : Board Certification : Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology. Fellowship : Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is required. Licensing : Must hold an active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania. Certifications Required : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Hospital Privileges : Required, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 45-60 days. Temporary Privileges : Not available. Additional Information : Consultation Role : The Gastroenterologist will consult on both inpatient and outpatient cases, providing specialized care in gastrointestinal diseases.
