Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Semen Processing Intern . This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, Ohio, facility and reports to the Manager of Non-EU Semen Processing, Quality Control, and Outsourced Production.

Specific duties and responsibilities of a Semen Processing Intern include, but are not limited to,

• Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values
• Initial semen evaluation and processing; sterilization of glassware and lab equipment
• Transportation of semen
• Performing semen quality control evaluations, semen extender preparation, general laboratory maintenance, and administrative tasks
• The intern will rotate through multiple departments to develop a deeper understanding of the industry and participate regularly in professional development opportunities tailored towards interns
• Assisting with research projects, including sample preparation and analysis
• Development and execution of an independent research project is a possibility, but not a requirement

A Semen Processing Intern's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 5 : 30 AM – 2 : 00 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.
