Olaro is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Shreveport, Louisiana.

An exciting Respiratory Therapist travel contract is now open for experienced clinicians with NICU / PICU expertise. This high-priority role offers a chance to provide advanced respiratory care across multiple campuses.

Position Details :

Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025

Location : Shreveport, LA (multiple campuses within 20–25 minutes)

Schedule : 3x12 Nights (36 / 48 hr rotation, with flexible scheduling options)

Contract Length : ~13 Weeks

Requirements :

  • Louisiana State License (active)
  • National Accreditation through NBRC (RRT preferred, CRT accepted)
  • BLS (required)
  • NRP (required)
  • ACLS (preferred)
  • PALS (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license (must float between 4 campuses)
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Experience in high-risk deliveries, NICU / PICU required
  • Must have completed at least 1 prior 13-week travel assignment

    • Clinical Skills & Responsibilities :

  • Attend and support high-risk deliveries (including possible neonatal intubation)
  • Airway and ventilator management
  • Arterial blood gas puncture and analysis
  • Non-invasive ventilation
  • Code Blue and rapid response experience
  • Administer inhaled medications (including nitric oxide)
  • Care for patients across ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med / Tele, and NICU / PICU units
  • Common patient types : COPD, CHF, Flu, Pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, Stroke, ALS, post-op transplants, trauma, cystic fibrosis, neonates

    • Equipment Used :

  • Adult : Servo U / I, Trilogy, V60, EV300, Vapotherm (HVT / Precision Flow), Airvo 2, IPV, ResMed Lumis TX
  • NICU / PICU : Oscillator, Neopuff for deliveries

    • Other Details :

  • Charting : Meditech Expanse
  • Orientation : 2 days of system orientation + facility onboarding
  • Weekend rotation : Every other weekend
  • Scrub color : Pewter
