Tired of commuting across the bridge?

Well-established very high-end residential builder looking for a Site Manager / Project Superintendent for residential projects, ranging in value from $2M to $8M on the Eastern Shore. Projects likely to be both new construction and renovations. The position is vital to the success of the projects, and therefore the company as a whole. The exact role can be tailored to the skillsets of the applicant, who must be a person that is motivated and works well with others.

The ideal candidate would either have a building construction degree and / or year of experience in the field, specifically :

• General knowledge of construction, at a minimum, with a preference for a candidate with experience in all phases of construction from site work to paint and punch list execution.
• Excellent people skills (communication and listening)
• Team Player, goal and system oriented.
• Fully grasps and manages construction and business processes
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Organized, with good follow-up skills
• Operates with a sense of urgency
• Results-oriented
• Balances the need for quality and timely construction with the need to control costs
• Clean well groomed, professional demeanor
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Email

Typical responsibilities include :

Direct and collaborative teamwork with Project Manager

On-site management of all aspects of custom residential projects, generally one project at a time.

Ensure project site is safe and clean

Managing / scheduling subcontractors in accordance with the Project Program

Managing / scheduling material supplies (everything from lumber to tile and cabinetry)

Quality Control, including observing work progress and punch list compilation

Interface with project manager on budget matters

Documenting construction progress

Managing County inspections

Work closely with company management to maintain excellent lines of communication with all project participants
