You will work on a variety of commercial and industrial electrical projects, ensuring detailed and accurate cost analysis, compliance, and resource management from start to finish.
Requirements :
Experience : 7+ years in electrical estimation or a related role incommercial / industrial
MEP or HVAC field.
Technical Skills : Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications, with strong Excel and estimation software skills.Knowledge : Familiarity with electrical components and systems, such as control panels, wiring, and lighting.Communication & Collaboration : Effective written and verbal skills for working with engineers, clients, and trades.Detail-Oriented & Organized : Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Physical Ability : Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs as required.Responsibilities :
Project Analysis & Estimation : Review blueprints and technical documents to determine scope, materials, labor, and costs, and develop detailed estimates accordingly.Material Sourcing & Vendor Negotiation : Identify suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost-effectiveness for materials, labor, and equipment.Compliance & Bid Preparation : Ensure estimates comply with safety standards and legislation; prepare and submit competitive bids.Financial Management : Create cost plans, manage budgets, and monitor financial aspects of the project.Communication & Collaboration : Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and trades; attend bid review meetings.Database & Risk Management : Update cost databases regularly and assess project risks to include in estimates.This Job Is :
