Surgical Services Assistant

Operating Room

Full Time (40 hrs / wk)

M-F, Days

(Call may be required)

Overview :

Under direct supervision completes tasks, according to skill level, to assist surgery personnel in providing nursing care and surgical services

to patients in the operating room area.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Previous CNA, PCT, and / or phlebotomy experience in acute care setting, preferred
  • Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Education : Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course.
  • Certifications : BLS certified. Required certification must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
  • Other : Physical requirements :

    • The ability to push, pull, and / or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • The ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
