PICU RN Job Details – Columbus, OH Assignment Type : Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract) Location : Columbus, Ohio 43205 (Ohio healthcare jobs) Setting : Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) Start Date : October 13, 2025 End Date : January 12, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 3 shifts / week Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2470-$2540 Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 (days, nights, weekends) Unit Size : 20 beds, average daily census of 13 PICU RN Qualifications Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of application) Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience (experience in a 30 bed PICU preferred) Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (required for pediatric nursing jobs) Proficient in arterial line management, chest tube care, intubation assistance, BiPAP / CPAP, ventilator management, central line care, hemodynamic monitoring, pediatric dosage calculations, post-cardiac surgery care, tracheostomy care 2 supervisory references (at least one from a manager or supervisor) Ability to float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg units as needed Cannot have worked permanent for the facility within the last 2 years Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility (no local candidates) PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and advanced pediatric equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and social services Float to other critical care and acute care units as required, adapting to various patient populations and acuity levels Maintain accurate documentation and participate in patient care planning and rounds Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards Discover rewarding PICU RN jobs in Columbus, Ohio, and make a difference in pediatric healthcare.
