In this position, the CDL-A Truck Driver will be assigned to a crew and will assist in the installation, repair and / or replacement of underground natural gas pipelines, and other services. This position is considered to involve about 20% CDL-A experienced Truck Driver duties and 80% laborer duties. Position is physically demanding and includes gas distribution pipeline construction, repair, and maintenance and general laboring duties while being responsible for operating CDL-A required vehicles, and other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position requires the individual to have a valid CDL-A driver’s license with a driving record that meets the requirements of the Company Fleet Policy.

Essential Job Functions

• Drive vehicles such as dump truck, large truck and trailer, equipment haulers, etc. in excess of 26,000 lbs. to haul Equipment, Pipe, Other Materials, Debris, etc
• Loading, Unloading, and Securing equipment and materials; use of Chains, Ratchet Straps, tarps etc. to secure loads
• Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections, including any required forms
• Keeping daily log, if required
• Laboring on gas distribution crew, especially hand shoveling / digging
• Heavy / Repeated lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Working in extreme weather conditions
