Overview
Construction Management Associates is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with experience in commercial / multi-family projects. The role focuses on producing accurate take-offs and estimates, reviewing construction documents, and maintaining a high level of estimate quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Estimate projects based on bids received for specific projects.Analyze cost data of product and labor.Ensure all project requirements are met.Post upcoming projects for bid, receive bids, and enter bid data onto spreadsheets.Analyze bids for scope of work coverage and update systems and spreadsheets.Assist with estimating and data entry to maintain cost database for multiple projects.Establish and maintain working relationships with suppliers and trade partners.Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.Support management in developing creative solutions to improve current processes and procedures.Qualifications
Experience as a Construction Estimator preferred.Technical college degree, 4-year degree, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.Knowledge of new construction, historic renovation, and multi-family projects preferred.Knowledge of construction methods preferred.Good understanding of MS Office and Excel; other software used : Building Connected, One Team, Plan Grid, BuilderTrend, and Smartsheet.Good understanding of building codes preferred.Ability to read architectural and structural drawings with general understanding of Civil Engineering plans and MEP Design.Detail-oriented and organized individual who takes pride in work produced.Ability to prioritize schedule based on workload, deadlines, and communication with team.Good problem-solving skills.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
