Senior IT Technical Trainer

Overview

A Senior IT Technical Trainer with an active Secret clearance is needed to plan, develop, and implement technical product and system training programs for a federal customer. This role is based in Arlington, VA and offers remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and deliver technical training programs for customers, employees, and field support personnel.

Design and deliver standard, customized, and new product training modules.

Gather information from engineering, software, product requirements, and customer feedback to prepare training programs.

Create lesson plans, course content, training materials, and product demonstrations.

Conduct training sessions, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations.

Evaluate effectiveness of training activities and continuously update lesson plans.

Collaborate with management, employees, and clients to identify training needs and adapt to policy, technology, or procedural changes.

Apply ADDIE and other instructional design methodologies to training development.

Monitor training program costs and prepare budget justification reports.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma with 9+ years of training experience (or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and development of training materials (plans, storyboards, scripts, graphics, etc.).

Experience designing and developing computer-based training.

Proficiency with Adobe Captivate and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge of training best practices and methodologies (ADDIE).

Active Secret clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain DEA Suitability.
