Position Summary :

The Part-Time Job Coach plays a pivotal role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful employment and independence. This position involves providing personalized vocational training, guidance, and support tailored to each individual unique needs and abilities. The Job Coach collaborates closely with individuals, employers, and community resources to facilitate successful job placements and ongoing workplace integration. This role requires a compassionate, motivated professional dedicated to supporting individuals’ employment goals through personalized coaching and community engagement.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with individual to identify employment interests, strengths, and goals

Assist individual in preparing resumes, completing job applications, and practicing interview skills

Provide hands-on job coaching and training at community job sites to promote individual success

Teach workplace expectations, safety, social, and communication skills tailored to each individual

Accompany Individual to interviews, orientations, and work shifts as needed

Work closely with DDS case managers, families, employers, and Beta Care Services staff to coordinate supports

Monitor progress, and challenges; maintain thorough documentation in compliance with Beta Care policies and DDS regulations

Advocate for necessary accommodations and ensure a respectful, inclusive work environment

Participate in Beta Care Services staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications :

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills

Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude

Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for community-based supports

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and reporting

Ability to work independently and as part of a team within Beta Care Services’ values and standards

Work Schedule & Environment :

Part-time, 12 hours per week (4 hours / day, 3 days / week)

Work primarily in community job settings and client homes

Flexible scheduling based on individual needs and employer availability.
