A multi-disciplinary MEP engineering firm in the local area is actively seeking to add an MEP environment experienced Electrical Engineer to the organization for a full-time permanent staff opportunity.

Responsibilities :
Lead the design and specifications for assigned projects, (i.e. power distribution, lighting & lighting control systems, fire detection systems) design layouts, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations etc.Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, details, schedules, equipment specifications, and associated reportsDevelop electrical design plans and schematics for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and national code regulationsConducted load calculations to optimize system performance to layout single line diagrams and organize power system architecture based on NEC and IBC requirementsIntegrate electrical systems into multi-disciplinary designsPrepare and review technical documentation including speci?cations, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs improving work?ow through the construction administration phasesCommunicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project designVisiting projects under construction to verify work is being completed per design specificationsManage multiple projects through design until completion of constructionCoordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documentsPerform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documentsAbility to professionally communicate with clients, architects, internal team members, regarding associated projectsQualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)~Five (5) or more years of related engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license desiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and WordIf you are interested, please send a current resume to alex@libertyjobs.com for consideration.
