Description
Maintains high quality cleaning standards and cleaning supply inventory, performs grounds maintenance duties, and timely repair and maintenance of facility equipment. Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure : Yes
Schedule : This position is for a full time, evening housekeeping / floor tech. Shifts are from 3pm-11 : 30pm with alternating weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains daily cleaning schedule using standard procedures. (Including but not limited to : vacuuming, mopping, dusting, floor care, and general cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms and facility.)
- Maintains all floors, i.e., stripping, refinishing and daily maintenance of various floor types and surfaces.
- Maintain carpet care and upholstery, extracts, shampoos and spot clean.
- Maintains proper appearance of grounds, and keeps walkways and parking areas free of debris, snow and ice.
- Reports the need for repairs or replacement of equipment, furniture and fixtures.
- Assists with patient evacuation in case of fire or other emergency and during fire drills.
- Responsible for adhering to all safety practices and procedures.
- Knows the mission and values of Ranken Jordan and in accordance, maintains appropriate professional behavior at all times.
- All other duties as assigned by the Manager and / or Administrator of Facilities.
Qualifications Required
Housekeeping / Floor Tech personal must demonstrate the correct use of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipmentMust be able to read, speak, write, make calculations, and follow oral and written instructions.Must have the ability to use tools and equipment associated with general maintenance and housekeeping.Physical Demands
These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, standing, carrying, and lifting of heavy loads (up to 50 lb.)
