Cost Accountant - Newly Created Opportunity

Overview of the Company :

  • Leading manufacturing and engineering company with a global presence
  • The company recently went under new ownership in order to position themselves for growth
  • The team is collaborative with a tenured management team
  • This opportunity is open due to growth with a direct reporting line to the Accounting Manager and also provide reporting and support to Finance and to the Corporate Controller

Overview of the Cost Accountant role :

  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and expenses).
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    • Preferred Qualifications for Senior Cost Accountant :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance
  • 5+ years cost in cost accounting / cost analysis
  • Large ERP software experience is a plus

    • Compensation :

    $80,000 + full benefits
