General : Support customer flight operations by performing duties as an AVO. Mission location will be disclosed at time of interview / hire.
Responsibilities :
- Lead operation of UAS in accordance with applicable regulatory flight approvals
- Follow and execute test plans and test cards, in conjunction with test engineering and mission operations
- Coordinates ground and flight operations including mission planning, execution, and debriefing; safe operation of the aircraft; aircrew resource management; and customer coordination.
- Assist with non-routine experimental program
- Provides recommendations for manual updates, and flexible enough to adapt to sudden changes in mission tasking.
- Provides advice and feedback on corrective actions.
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
- Work with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
- Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues.
- Assist the Technical support group with our customer needs for technical support.
- Supports the operations and testing of UAS platforms
- Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
Minimum Requirements :
6-8 yrs of AVO workAA / Bachelor's or equivalent experience1,000-2,000 hours flying experienceFAA Class II Medical Certificate / 500-1,00 hours UAS Pilot in Command (PIC)Ability to work extended hours and shift work
Preferred Experience :
Piccolo Experience; Demonstrated experience flying inter-country missions; Payload and Gimbal Operating Experience; FAA Instrument Rating; FAA Commercial Pilot LicenseGraduate from group 3 DOD UAS Course or FAA private pilot license501-1,000 hrs ULTRA or LEAP Flight ExperienceCompetitive pay with full benefits package and paid time off
