Salary :
As a Location Advisory Services Consultant, you will assist with driving growth within the practice, working directly with clients to help them secure incentives programs.
Reports To : LAS Practice Leader / Shareholder
Experience : 2-5 years; economic development experience is preferred
Priority : Project management for client incentives
Key Responsibilities :
- Shows interest in a specialized area of knowledge and displays an understanding of multiple state and local credit and incentive programs
- Take lead with identifying and applying state-specific incentives programs to client situations
- Maintain a highly visible role in managing client projects and demonstrate ability to handle mid to large sized engagements to completion
- Display problem-solving skills on more complex client situations and technical issues
- Deliver work products that meet or exceed client expectations with few to no errors consistently (reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)
- Present in front of an executive team when delivering final presentations as needed
- Contribute to marketing materials as needed as a subject matter expert, partnering with the marketing team
- Engage with referral sources and economic development entities in a consistently professional manner
- Manage reporting and compliance for clients across municipalities and states across the U.S.
- Work with legal and tax professionals to provide integrated services to clients
- Demonstrate ability to represent clients in front of public and economic development entities with a high degree of professionalism
- Display leadership qualities by consistently contributing to practice improvements and the overall team efficiency
What you will need :
A Bachelors degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, economics, construction management, engineering, or related fields2-5 years of credits and incentives or economic development experience is preferred, but recent college graduate applications will be accepted and consideredAbility to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentStrong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, strong and written and verbal communication skillsConsultative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, excels in client situationsExperience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointA valid United States drivers license and reliable transportationAbility to travel independently or as part of a team to client locations throughout the USA; the firm tries to keep consultants focused to regional travel primarily but there are always exceptions based on client needsWho we are : McGuire Sponselis a national specialty tax consulting firm that has experienced tremendous growth while serving leading accounting firms and businesses across the country.
