Saint Francis Hospital Is Looking For A Full-time Medical Assistant
Saint Francis Hospital is looking for a full-time medical assistant to join our family practice!
Responsibilities include :
- Showing patients to exam room, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e. pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) and documenting in electronic health record.
- Taking any necessary labs, preparing for pick up and recording in the patient electronic health record, communicating with the appropriate departments on protocol for all labs and receiving all information they need for procedures.
- Answering telephone calls promptly and courteously and relaying all messages accurately.
- Following up on voice mail messages each morning and triaging messages before physician takes action, sending messages via telephone template in electronic health record.
- Assisting with quality metrics and gaps in care.
- Completing other duties as assigned by management or providers in a professional and timely fashion.
Requirements :
Medical Assistant Certification from one of the following organizations : AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE (required)High school diploma or equivalent (required)1+ year of previous medical assistant experience in a physician's office (preferred)We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including :
