General Maintenance Technician

Under the direction of Plant Operations Director, the general maintenance technician is responsible for performing a wide range of basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

• High school graduate or equivalent

Proven experience in general building maintenance, preferably in a healthcare, hotel, or institutional setting.

Demonstrated experience in painting and drywall repair / finishing.

Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, and building trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, kneeling, bending, and working from a ladder.

Understanding of and commitment to patient privacy and a healthcare environment.
