Assistant Director of Finance (Salary $80K-$90K)

About the Role / Responsibilities of Assistant Director of Finance :

  • Assist with the primary responsibility for financial management of the organization in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Director of Finance
  • Assist in performing all aspects of financial reporting, both internally and externally
  • Assist in enforcing financial controls and policies across the organization
  • Perform daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, tracking of donor

restricted funds and release from restriction, preparing bank deposits, as well as monitoring

online banking activity.

  • Perform monthly accounting functions including reconciliation of all bank accounts, review of monthly

    • expenses in Accounting system, reconciliation of internal charge account, reconciliation of credit card statements.

  • Work closely with senior leadership to best strategically align organization's financial growth and goals

    • Qualifications of Assistant Director of Finance :

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting (non-profit sector preferred)
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the CPA or CMA or CFA designations
  • Quick learner, superb attention to detail
  • Able to work in highly diverse environment, maintain confidentiality, strong customer service skills
