This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of team, establishing measurable goals for team, and leading team to reach the goals. Collaborates with cross-functional peers to continuously improve the daily operations.

In this role, you will :

  • Clarify roles, accountabilities and decision-making among team members.
  • Help team members prioritize and link daily work to broader objectives.
  • Manage workloads to ensure all team members are fully deployed and skills are matched to the work requirements.
  • Prioritize team morale and productivity, celebrating team accomplishments.
  • Promote collaboration among team members. Encourage others to cooperate and coordinate efforts.
  • Builds working relationships with colleagues in affiliated roles and departments, including those outside own business unit, to improve collaboration, support product / solution design and improve customer / partner experience.
  • May act as a representative of the department on working groups or core teams in a specialized area of impact or interest to own department.
  • Engages peers within the department as well as cross-departmentally to build an understanding of cross dependencies, priorities, and opportunities to simplify.
  • Works with staff to develop individual development plans addressing employee needs and meeting team goals.
  • Evaluates team performance regularly, identifying learning needs at team and individual levels.
  • Mentors individual contributors on team as well as Assistant Managers on team.
  • Guides Assistant Managers in the development of individual goals, provides regular and specific feedback, and assesses performance.
  • Provides constructive feedback, encourages and supports ongoing education and professional development.
  • Promotes an inclusive and diverse work environment.
  • Hires and onboards new team members.
  • Collaborates with Associate Managers to develop performance metrics to measure individual and team contribution to drive behavior to deliver a high caliber customer / partner experience.
  • Understands key performance indicators related to own and team's work and the importance of metrics in defining success. Understands how team performance metrics align and contribute to Expedia Group's broader objectives.
  • Ensures all performance metrics reports are updated on a timely basis, included individual and team scorecards, heartbeat reports, QBR, etc.
  • Reviews current performance indicators with individual contributors regularly during 1 : 1, Quarterly Connect, Yearly Evaluation to ensure Individual Contributor is informed of current performance.
  • Monitors performance metrics and collaborates with people leaders to implement process improvements and / or performance plans as needed to ensure the success of individual contributors and team goals.
  • Drives continuous improvement with cross-functional collaboration and projects.
  • Understands the value the team brings to the business and works to maximize that value.
  • Identifies and cultivates knowledge experts and stakeholders to ensure team are fully supported for their operational work.
  • Ensures team are aware of relevant business changes and knowledge. Understands the context and communicates it effectively.
  • Ensures team is operating in accordance with the established procedures and practices.
  • Connects the dots between the team's business activities and business outcomes and prioritize actions accordingly.
  • Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own work area.
  • Applies new ideas or approaches to own work to enhance outputs.
  • Uses established tools and techniques to track progress related to implementing process improvements.
  • Actively participates in a readiness, triage and / or product WIP reviews to share and gain product knowledge.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the product development lifecycle from idea generation to bringing a product to market by supporting the different phases and improving product performance.
  • Supports product roadmap, working in collaboration with product / marketing team to provide customer feedback and ensure successful product GTM.
  • Evaluates current team projects or goals and identifies the relevant skills and expertise needed to accomplish them.
  • Plans for and distributes necessary financial / material resources to ensure accomplishment of team goals.
  • Tracks resource use to ensure minimal waste and reduce duplication of efforts.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc. within scope of responsibility.
  • Knows where to direct team for answers on infrequent or complex processes and situations.
  • Understands related application and platform dependencies.
  • Applies application and system knowledge to engage and inform cross functional teams as needed.
  • Advocates solutions to improve customers platform experiences on features and updates which can enhance the customer's experience.
  • Working knowledge of current roadmap, imminent changes, and their impact on the supported applications.
  • Able to speak to current initiatives and address concerns using talking points and product knowledge.

Experience and Qualifications :

5+ years for Bachelor's 3+ years for Master's People Management 1-3 Years Education Participates in performance reviews by providing technical, operational assessments. Leads (formally) at 3 multi-quarter projects (someone seen as technical lead Individual Contributor). Bachelor's or Master's or equivalent experience Functional / Technical Skills Good understanding of local employment laws and regulations Strong technical skills and computer knowledge, including Microsoft office programs, extensive experience using a CRM ticketing system to create / manage casework or using travel industry applications Subject matter expertise in one of the following areas : GraphQL, SQL, JSON, RESTFUL, SOAP, POSTMAN, SPLUNK, KIBANA, Escapia UI, or Trust Accounting.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $98,500.00 to $138,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $157,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
