SENIOR INVENTORY ANALYST

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our growing Supply Planning team. This role will play a key part in supporting the inventory planning function by analyzing data, building tools, and delivering insights that improve decision-making across inventory management, service levels, and operational efficiency.

As our systems and data evolve, this position will also expand into advanced analytics, including writing SQL queries and developing scalable reporting solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in Excel and Power BI with a problem-solving mindset, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver actionable insights to maximize service levels, balance customer satisfaction, and align working capital with business goals.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor supply, demand, and inventory performance.
  • Write and troubleshoot DAX measures to enable advanced reporting and analysis.
  • Leverage Excel (advanced formulas, SUMIFS, pivot tables, lookups, etc.) to perform analysis and develop tools.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planners, Sales, Operations, and Procurement to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Develop and track standardized metrics (e.g., Days of Supply, Service Levels, OTIF, inventory velocity).
  • Support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process with clear and accurate data-driven insights.
  • Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Planning.

Personal and Education Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field or five years of equivalent experience in supply chain within a food ingredient or food manufacturing business with demonstrated food supplier knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or a related supply chain / analytics role.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles and S&OP processes.
  • Proven ability to analyze data for Root Cause Analysis, ROI, and Cost-Benefit Analysis.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through and time management skills; able to work independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, problem-solving through formulas).
  • Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, including DAX measures.
  • Experience with SQL or similar data tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with large, complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible, curious, and adaptable as business needs evolve.
  • Experience with ERP or advanced planning systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, D365).
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts such as safety stock, inventory optimization, and S&OP.
