Expected pay for this position is $60.39 - $68.10 / hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
Position Summary :
The Advanced Practice Provider - Medical Oncology is an advanced practice nurse or physician assistant with specialty training to practice in an oncology setting. This APN will evaluate diagnoses, clinically monitor and manage oncology, hematology patients utilizing advanced assessment skills and knowledge of clinical therapeutics. The APP role is an integrated one, which includes clinical, educational, and research components. Other roles include but are not limited to chemotherapy teaching, cancer surveillance and symptom management. The APP demonstrates expertise in providing clinical care and counseling to individuals concerned about medical oncology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Master's degree in nursing Licensure / Certification : American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS, licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics, and an Illinois Registered Nurse License, and an Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License Other Skills / Knowledge : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience : Oncology Experience Licensure / Certification : Oncology Nursing Certification
