We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation rotor-craft.
This position is either onsite in Fort Worth, TX or at other Bell locations : Huntsville, AL or Wichita, Kansas.
Manager, FLRAA Software Safety Engineering
The Manager, FLRAA Software Safety Engineering is responsible for managing the software safety process, analyses, and personnel for the FLRAA program.
This includes professional development of internal talent, sourcing of additional talent when required, providing input to the overall master schedule, identifying, developing and tracking required deliverables and developing, managing and communicating the system safety methodology for internal and external customers.
The position will be at the forefront of emerging safety techniques including Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to incorporate AMCOM 385-17, DO-178C, DO-254 and MIL STD-882E safety process. We are looking for someone who understands the enormity of the customer's mission and brings an innate passion for the customer's safety and success to the workplace every day.
