Tekberry is looking for highly qualified and motivated Optical Manufacturing Technicians to work on-site with our client, a top-tier technology company in Santa Rosa, CA. These are full time temp to hire positions.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support the Cleaning Department . Ideal candidates will possess the following traits / skills to clean the glass parts to make sure they re spotless before anything gets added to them.

Works as a team player supporting all shift work activitiesWorks within and across all operation / manufacturing departments as assigned, including but not limited to : Assembly, Cleaning, Coating, Fabrication, Final Quality Inspection, Marking, MetrologyFollow instructions and procedures precisely while offering suggestions for continuous improvementHandle fragile products & parts ranging in size from 1 millimeter to 450 millimeters and weigh less than 1 gram to 25 kilogramsMaintains housekeeping, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirementsPerform product and machine inspectionAnalyzes data, and reports abnormalities to the appropriate person / departmentAssemble fixtures, parts, and tooling, calibrate tools / machinesClean product, parts, tooling, machines, work areaAdhere to Company quality policy, environmental policy, sustainability policy, and safety programsUse Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, e-mail, O365, etc.,) and other manufacturing programsPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor / managementMust maintain satisfactory attendance, including timelinessMinimum Requirements :
High School diploma or equivalentBasic computer skills; comfortable with machineryBasic math skills adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing including percentages and decimals; can understand basic geometric concepts e.g., angles and shapesTeam oriented and driven to meet goals and improve processesCan multitask and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailPreferred Experience :
Experience in thin film manufacturing and / or any manufacturing environment; experience in optical coating, metrology, disposition, cleaning, parts assembly, and fabrication a plusMechanical / scientific aptitude or interestsSkilled in the use of material management systems, databases, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook, SharePoint, file directory architectureSome college, an Associate Degree in any of the STEM disciplines; mechanical, electrical, physics, engineering technology preferredSelf-starter / works well alone and with limited supervisionSkilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing detailed instructions, and short correspondence (e.g., e-mails, texts, instant messaging)Skilled in writing simple, informational, and technical correspondenceFamiliar with quality, environmental, and safety programs / standards / regulations such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, CAL OSHA, and clean room requirementsFamiliar with lean manufacturing methods / tools (5-s, root cause analysis, continuous improvement cycle)Experienced and certified forklift driverWorking Conditions :
Work within a manufacturing environmentAble to sit 20%-90% of time / stand 10%-80% of time depending on job assignmentBe able to use hands to handle delicate products and small objects in addition to tools, equipment, or controlsBe able to reach overhead and work on a ladder / elevated heightsBe able to work in various positions, including but not limited to, reaching, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods; be able to perform highly repetitive tasks with hands while standing or sitting for up to 10 hoursRequired to wear a respirator, hairnet, face mask, and clean room suit when necessaryBe able to work extended hours (overtime) when requiredBe able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasksUse of solvents and cleaning substances, lasers, sharp objects, & high heat equipmentMust be able to lift and / or move 35 pounds of weight on occasionClarity of vision to see close and mid-rangeTemperature is moderate within the work environmentThe noise level in the manufacturing environment is moderate but occasionally can be loudThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
