Job Title : OB / GYN Physician

Location : Defiance Hospital, Defiance, OH

Position Overview :

Defiance Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate OB / GYN to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this full-time position, you will provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecological care to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological care for women at all stages of life.
  • Perform routine examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests.
  • Offer expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of obstetric and gynecological conditions.
  • Manage labor and delivery, including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and reproductive health.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and weekend duties as required.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications :

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in OB / GYN, including high-risk obstetrics and routine gynecological care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, evolving medical environment.

    • Preferred Skills & Experience :

  • Experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures (laparoscopy).
  • Expertise in managing complex obstetric cases.
  • Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior medical staff.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
