Position Overview
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations by ensuring a clean, organized, and well-maintained workspace. Responsibilities include managing sample intake and labeling, maintaining adequate labware inventory, and preparing buffers and reagents. The role also involves operating and troubleshooting equipment used in genotyping production, as well as reviewing and archiving task-related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead general housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness within the laboratory.
- Receive, label, and track incoming samples accurately.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of labware, and receive necessary supplies.
- Prepare buffers, reagents, and other materials required for production.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment essential for genotyping production.
- Review, organize, and archive documentation related to laboratory tasks.
- Adhere to Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and workflow processes to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while supporting more than one supervisor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and research personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or in the final stages of completion) is required; a degree in a scientific field is preferred.13 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in all laboratory activities.
