Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of and familiarity with : Power School, SQL, Oracle, Access, Object Reporting, Google Apps, Apple iPad MDM
- Knowledge of Munis software, including implementation and conversion from a previous software application
- Educational preparation in the area of systems administration, together with proven on-the-job skills and knowledge of personal computers
- Three to Five years of experience in desktop / server and networked systems support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server / Client
- Coding experience is beneficial but not required
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

Job Goal
To provide technical support for all computer systems within the school district. To support a wide variety of system programs and to suggest ways to centralize and coordinate them. Analyze, design and troubleshoot data systems and server settings.
Performance Responsibilities
Support East Hartford Public Schools information and network systemsMonitor systems with appropriate tools such as SQL toolkit to provide proactive management of databasesSupport major district information systems with programming and report writing, as well as problem resolution with vendorsHold staff training on District-wide applications as neededAssist in state reporting requirementsEnsure accuracy of data and information systemsLearn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipmentFollow standard operating procedures; accurately log all work orders using tracking softwareBecome familiar with Board of Education policies, services, and staffOther duties as assigned by supervisorGeneral Requirements

Twelve-month year. Salary and work year as established in the Local 2727 contract.
