Responsibilities :
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' needs and goals
- Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Skills :
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiologyFamiliarity with occupational health, medical imaging, acute care, and pediatricsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team membersAbility to adapt treatment techniques based on individual patient needsStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to develop effective treatment plansNote : Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
