Position Summary :

The Medical Assistant (MA) will support a team of MDs, DOs, NPs, and PAs in a busy Primary Care setting. This role involves direct patient care, clinical testing, administrative support, and assisting providers with procedures. The MA will play an integral role in ensuring efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Schedule :

  • Typical Hours : 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM
  • May be asked to cover Express Care / Same Day Clinic (8 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM) occasionally

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
  • Perform CLIA-waived testing, including PT / INR, rapid Flu, rapid Strep, COVID, urine dipstick, and urine pregnancy tests
  • Assist with CDL / DOT driver exams and neonate–geriatric wellness exams
  • Administer immunizations and document accurately
  • Call patients with lab / test results
  • Initiate and complete medication prior authorizations
  • Assist providers bedside during procedures
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

    • Qualifications :

  • Active Washington State MA License – Required
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Experience in primary care or urgent care strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and EMR skills
