Supply Chain Manager

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in New York, New York, on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on managing costing packages, analyzing submissions, and building robust cost databases to support production and sourcing operations. This position requires someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and factories.

Responsibilities :

Develop and distribute detailed costing packages and bills of materials (BOMs) for approximately 200 SKUs to multiple factories.

Retrieve and organize existing BOMs and cost files while collaborating with sourcing, production, product development, and engineering teams to ensure comprehensive documentation.

Collect, review, and consolidate factory responses, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper cost formatting.

Examine cost submissions to identify discrepancies, opportunities for margin improvement, and negotiation strategies.

Work closely with sourcing, operations, and finance teams to create a detailed cost database aligned with purchasing plans.

Maintain thorough documentation and correspondence records for every item and supplier.

Assist in negotiation preparations by identifying cost anomalies and potential areas for savings.

Track communications and ensure clear, organized records for all supplier interactions.

Support cross-functional teams by providing key insights into cost analysis and supplier relationships.

Requirements :

At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, production, or product costing within consumer goods, toys, or general merchandise.

Proven experience managing BOMs and cost breakdowns directly with overseas factories.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and cost modeling.

Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills for effectively managing multiple supplier relationships.

Knowledge of supply chain logistics and global supply chain management processes.

Ability to analyze cost proposals and develop strategic recommendations for cost optimization.
