Position Details :

Job Title : Lead Business Analyst

Job Type : long term contract

Location : Boca Raton, FL (100% Onsite)

Work Mode : 100% onsite

Pay Rate Range : $60.00 - $69.00

Interview Mode : 1-2 rounds, first round will be MS Teams, possible 2nd round onsite

Overview : A government agency in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams. This role is ideal for an analytical and solutions-driven professional who thrives on improving business processes, translating complex requirements into actionable technology solutions, and guiding teams through successful system implementations.

As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, streamline workflows, and enhance organizational performance through data-driven insights and innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and successful project delivery.
  • Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for automation or process improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Support business process redesign and documentation for new technology initiatives.
  • Educate IT teams on business goals and strategic priorities to ensure solutions meet organizational objectives.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and project discussions from concept through implementation.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, including buy vs. build decisions.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing leadership and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and apply this knowledge to propose innovative solutions that drive business value.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience :

    • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst or related technical / business role.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives that align technology with business goals.
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, systems analysis, and software development lifecycles.
  • Hands-on experience documenting requirements, writing functional specs, and supporting testing and implementation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
