CODEX Engineering Managers (EMs) are accountable to the Engineering Director for hiring and staffing their engineers. The goal of this role is to ensure we are attracting, retaining, growing, and utilizing engineering talent appropriately to meet customer missions.
An EM will only be assigned through approval of CODEX Engineering Director via an interview process.
Engineering Manager Roles And Responsibilities
- Accountable for ensuring their engineers are appropriately staffed on their programs with respect to skillsets and career goals
- Accountable for identifying Group Leads (GLs) from engineering population
- Accountable for providing performance feedback to engineers and their managers (GLs)
- Accountable for mentorship of engineers including :
Mentoring leadership / professional behavior
Identifying and facilitating mentorship of technical skillsIdentifying and facilitating training opportunitiesAccountable for monitoring employee performance and identifying appropriate staff for responsible programsAccountable for identifying and providing appropriate staff on assigned proposals, whitepapers, and ROMsAccountable for ensuring engineers placed on assigned programs are appropriately skilled, meet clearance requirements and are effectively meeting program needsAccountable for the retention of key staff within their engineering teamEngineering Manager Relationships

An active Top Secret clearance with the ability to acquire an SCI within 6 monthsAt least 10 years of professional experience in a relevant engineering disciplineDemonstrated interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsThe ability to deliver and receive constructive criticism3+ years of experience with Offensive and / or Defensive Cyber Operations engineeringPreferred Qualifications
