Job Title : Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to perform primarily in-process inspections on the production floor. This role demands attention to detail to ensure that all parts meet specified quality standards. You will be actively involved in grabbing parts from operators to check if they conform to specifications. Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 is beneficial, and most tasks involve mechanical inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Experience with CMMs is also advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret customer-supplied blueprints accurately.
  • Check each part against the blueprint and record data on the collection document.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure all parts are within tolerance during production.
  • Adhere to AS and ISO standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stop production if nonconforming parts are identified, ensuring quality is prioritized.
  • Engage in cross-departmental training and work closely with the quality manager and director when necessary.
  • Maintain constant communication with the production team to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
  • Ability to interpret data using tools such as CMM, Keyence, Virtek, pin gauges, and gauge blocks.
  • Basic understanding of ISO and AS standards.
  • 2-3 years' experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 / hr.
