Position Summary

Essential Duties
Assist guests in a courteous and professional manner in all areas of the base area, on the mountain and all areas of the resortSupport ALL Steamboat Ski & Resort departments with guest crowding and disseminating operational information with emphasis on Lift Ops, Parking and Transportation Centers, Food and Beverage and Rental / RetailWork at all Guest Service stations such as the Welcome Center and Lost and Found, on mountain terrain, lift lines and lodges, parking lots, shuttle buses and the transportation centerAssist Ski Patrol as neededGather and disseminate mountain condition information to the public and other departmentsProvide support with special events and ski groups throughout the seasonDirect and encourage guests to provide customer comments onlineMeet and greet guests throughout the dayProvide up to date product information to our guestsPosition requires long days working in all weather conditionsKnow, understand and abide by the Steamboat Culture Guide, Steamboat Service Excellence standards and the Steamboat Way for AmbassadorsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
Strong communication skills and customer service experience requiredA cheerful, friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to work in a team environmentLocal knowledge and familiarity with Steamboat, its history, and surroundings is requiredProficiency in smart phone usage to include navigating apps, internet, intranet, and emailAdhere to all safety policiesAbility to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standardsEducation Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalentThe base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and / or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range : Starting at $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
