Job Description

The Clinical Director – Dental Services combines clinical practice with program leadership. This role delivers advanced dental care while managing staff, operations, and compliance for a federally qualified entity committed to public health. The position emphasizes both patient care and organizational leadership in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental services including preventive, restorative, surgical, endodontic, and prosthodontic care
  • Supervise and mentor dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff
  • Lead hiring, training, performance reviews, scheduling, and staff development
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and quality standards
  • Support financial stewardship and patient growth
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set and achieve program goals
  • Maintain accurate dental records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Qualifications and Requirements

  • DDS / DMD with an active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
  • CPR certification required
  • Proficiency with dental practice management and imaging software
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable
  • Must pass extensive background, drug / alcohol, and driving record checks
  • Willingness to travel between locations
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public health or working with underserved populations
  • Prior leadership or faculty / teaching experience
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and public health policy
