Are you an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with the skills to keep a hardworking fleet field-ready? Terra Contracting Inc. is searching for a skilled and proactive mechanic to join our team. In this vital role, you'll maintain, repair, and diagnose issues with a wide variety of heavy construction equipment used in underground utility work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and more.
• Perform preventative maintenance, full-service inspections, and emergency repairs in both shop and field environments.
• Travel to project sites for equipment service to minimize downtime and keep operations moving.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
• Communicate with operators and site supervisors to proactively identify performance issues and prioritize fixes.
• Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and internal safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; report needs promptly.
