Assistant Program Director
Are you an experienced human services professional with managerial experience and a desire to make a positive difference in people's lives? As the Supervisor Program ADH, you will be responsible for the operational management of the Adult Day Health Program and the delivery of quality medical, social, nutritional, and recreational services, including supervising program staff.
Direct and supervise the operations and services of the adult day center program
Develop short-term and long-term goals for the Adult Day Health Program
Plan, implement, and evaluate program policies and procedures
Coordinate and collaborate with contracted services to achieve program objectives
Develop and implement marketing plan
Act in the capacity of the Program Director as required
Develop and supervise program staff
Interview and select appropriate candidates for available positions
Ensure participation in appropriate in-services and certification programs
Supervise and manage assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training; resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment
Oversee fiscal administration of the ADH program
Oversee billing function and maintain the ability to submit bills to each funding source
Ensure compliance with the standards established by the Department of Health and Human Services and other regulatory and accrediting agencies
Maintain knowledge of existing laws and regulations governing practice, including the assurance of competency of the clinical nursing staff in ADH regulations
Support care of those served
Ensure staff knowledge and integration of participant's age as a critical element in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Establish collaborative relationships to ensure necessary support services are available to members and their families
Recognize signs and symptoms of abuse / neglect and report to nursing supervisor for follow-up
Understand "Patient's Rights and Responsibilities" and serve as an advocate for individuals
Oversee administration of the program's operations
Coordinate admissions
Oversee emergency and evacuation plans
Coordinate transportation services
Seek and use clinical and administrative guidance as needed
Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Two years of managerial experience
Two years of experience working with adults in a health care setting (professional or volunteer)
CPR and First Aid certification
Demonstrated leadership ability, self-starter, team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with others
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
