At Oil City Nursing and Rehab we pride ourselves on the exceptional care we provide for both our residents AND our staff. We're currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our growing team!
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook meals according to daily menus, recipes, and resident-specific dietary requirements (e.g., low sodium, diabetic-friendly, pureed diets).
- Adjust recipes and portions based on dietary guidelines and the number of residents served.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Communicate with residents, families, and nursing staff to understand and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Seek feedback on meals to improve service quality and resident satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and dietary aides to ensure efficient meal service.
- Participate in kitchen staff meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
